Your marriage is falling apart. Your spouse cheated on you. You cannot seem to find two pennies to rub together to pay the bills. Your children are rebellious and disobedient. You suffer from depression. You get angry easily. You cannot seem to get over the grief after the death of a loved one. You cannot get through the day without the alcohol to numb the pain.
If you are like the rest of us, you probably struggle through these or other issues. It often seems like life is racing out of control and you cannot find joy or happiness in anything. Is life a constant struggle? Is it a battle to simply get out of bed in the morning? Does this sound like your life? The world offers many answers to life’s problems that may seem to work for a time, but never actually provide lasting relief or hope or joy. Where then can you find the answers to life’s most troubling problems?
The reality is that there is help for the hurting! There is hope for you! We believe the answers to your most difficult questions lie in the Bible. The Bible is a unique book, for while it was written over the span of many years by a number of authors it has one supreme author: God. The Scriptures present clearly and accurately the origins of our difficulties and offers the hope of a solution in its pages! We believe that the Bible offers true and lasting hope for you in all of life’s difficulties. In fact the Bible itself tells us it holds the answers to our questions. It reads, “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16–17). Elsewhere the Bible says that in the person of the God-man, Jesus Christ, as revealed in the Bible, we have everything we need for life: “His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire” (2 Peter 1:3–4). Since we believe there is hope for you in the pages of God’s Word, we want to help you by finding those answers.
Pastor Allen Mickle of Tunkhannock Baptist Church is offering his services to provide FREE counseling to you. We feel that as a ministry to our community we cannot allow your questions to go unanswered. We operate from a biblical worldview, believing that the Bible provides answers, guidance, and help for all of life’s issues.
